Camp Creek® Golf Course

Located just off Scenic Highway 30A, Camp Creek Golf Course is one of the most challenging courses in the 30A area, thanks to its demanding slope ratings, undulating fairways, and strategically placed natural hazards. Designed by Tom Fazio and stretching nearly 7,200 yards, the course weaves through a stunning landscape of native plants, white sand dunes, and rolling greens that make every round as beautiful as it is demanding. A Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, the Camp Creek course is also a protected wetland, giving it a natural, unspoiled character that sets it apart from more manicured courses. 

 

Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club

Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club is a private course in Santa Rosa Beach on 30A known for its well-maintained layout with rolling elevations and views of the Gulf of Mexico, including two Gulf-front holes. Based on its slope rating, the Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club is one of the more challenging 30A golf courses and is best for advanced or intermediate golfers. Access to the course is restricted to Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club members and their guests.

 

Origins Golf Club

Who Can Play: Open to the public

Par: Played as a 10-hole, par 3 course

 

Origins Golf Club is a public golf course on 30A near Inlet Beach, designed by Davis Love III as a short, 1,800-yard course consistent with the sport’s traditional Scottish roots. The flexible course can be used for a 6-hole regulation configuration, but golfers generally play a ten-hole par-3 layout. Origins Golf Club is great for casual games, making it friendly for beginners and families, but its bunkers and water carries offer options for more advanced golfers.

Sharks Tooth Golf Course

Shark’s Tooth Golf Course is found just off 30A in the Wild Heron community near Inlet Beach along the coastline of Lake Powell, Florida’s largest dune lake. The course benefits from greenery, including mature oak and pine trees, and features undulating landscapes and deep bunkers, which have helped it rank among Golf Digest’s best courses in Florida. Based on its slope rating, Shark’s Tooth is a great option for intermediate and advanced golfers.

 

The Third Golf Course

Having opened in 2025, The Third Golf Course is the newest golf course on 30A. It offers a serene and quiet environment that embraces its natural landscape with rolling greens and plants native to Northern Florida. At 7,250 yards, The Third Golf Course is one of the largest 30A golf courses, and it requires strategy to navigate its undulations and bunkers. It has six sets of tees, making it a good option for intermediate and more advanced golfers.

 

Kelly Plantation Golf Club

Who Can Play: Semi-private, open to the public with membership options

Course Designed By: Originally Fred Couples and Gene Bates, recently enhanced by Bill Bergin Golf Design

Built on the Choctawhatchee Bay in Destin, Kelly Plantation offers a course that’s great for intermediate golfers, but at 7,100 yards, it can be a challenge for long drivers. The golf course also boasts a scenic appeal. It’s surrounded by Magnolia and Palmetto trees native to Northwest Florida and offers views of Choctawhatchee Bay (some golfers have reported dolphin sightings). In early 2025, the course concluded a renovation project to enhance its tee boxes and bunkers.

 

The Raven at Sandestin

The Raven at Sandestin is a public course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, offering a 6,931-yard course that’s ideal for intermediate and skilled golfers. The championship course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. to maintain the area’s marshes, wetlands, and pine forests, and it was home to the Boeing Championship, a stop on the PGA Champions Tour, in 2006 and 2007. While this a public golf course near 30A, guests at Sandestin Golf and Beach resort can book tee times up to six months in advance, while public bookings have a two-week window.

 

Regatta Bay Golf Club

Located in Destin, Regatta Bay Golf Club is a public course designed by Robert C. Walker, the former lead architect at Arnold Palmer's design firm. The 6,894-yard course winds through a nature preserve along the south shore of Choctawhatchee Bay, with wetlands, streams, and man-made lakes serving as obstacles. The course offers multiple tee boxes, providing options for both casual and skilled golfers, while incorporating stunning views of the Emerald Coast. 

 

Seascape Golf Course

Par: 35 (9-hole layout)

 

Seascape Golf Course is a public course at Seascape Resort in Miramar Beach. Set along the Florida Panhandle coastline near 30A in Destin, golfers can expect to see freshwater and coastal dune lakes with views of the Gulf of Mexico. The course operates as a 9-hole facility, allowing for a shorter golf experience that’s welcoming for families and new golfers.
